Sam’s Club staff lends a hand to help reconstruct Kempe playground

August 4, 2010 - The Children’s Hospital’s construction of its new East Tower prompted a quick move of the Kempe playground to a space along the northeast corner of The Gary Pavilion.  Six staff members from the Southlands Sam’s Club donated their time this morning to help reconstruct the playground. Dr. Andrew Sirotnak named President of The Children's Hospital Medical Staff

February 3, 2010

Dr. Andrew Sirotnak took over as the 68th President of The Children's Hospital's 1420-member medical staff for the 2010-2012 term on January 28 during the hospital's Annual Meeting.

Dr. Sirotnak currently serves as the Interim Executive Director of the Kempe Center and long time director of the Kempe Child Protection Team.

In 1962, Dr. C. Henry Kempe co-wrote a paper that changed the way the medical profession looked at child abuse. And 10 years later, he opened a nonprofit facility in Denver, the Kempe Center, to help treat the young and innocent victims that had undergone abuse and neglect.
