Planned Giving
The Dr. C. Henry Kempe Society is comprised of people who have included Kempe Foundation in their wills and estates. Your support will ensure that future generations of children will have the opportunity to lead healthy and successful lives. Benefits to members include special inclusion in the annual report, recognition at our new building, and an invitation to an annual reception for all members.
Kempe Foundation (Fed Tax ID 84-1064295)
We appreciate your interest in supporting efforts to end child abuse and neglect and want to provide you with helpful information in your planned giving considerations. The inclusion of The Kempe Foundation in your estate plan will ensure long term support that will positively impact children’s lives for many years to come. The Kempe Foundation can be named as a beneficiary in your will or in any one of a number of ways.
- The Charitable Bequest – The Kempe Foundation can be named as a beneficiary in your will or trust with a gift of a designated amount, percentage of your estate or specific assets. You may allocate the bequest for general support or preferred programs.
- Retirement Accounts – Gifts of assets in qualified retirement accounts include an IRA, 401(k) and 403(b). When assets are contributed to the foundation, it would receive 100% of each dollar donated as funds would not be subject to any income tax upon withdrawal.
- Life Insurance – You can name The Kempe Foundation as the beneficiary on a life insurance policy.
- Stocks – An interest/dividend bearing document where you can avoid paying income tax on the gain from the sale of the stock by making a donation to a non-profit organization.
