Incorporating mentoring and group skill-building intervention programs for children in foster care may help improve mental health outcomes in this population, according to a report by two University of Colorado School of Medicine researchers published in the August issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.

A candlelight Memorial Service / Rememberance will be held for Aarone Thompson, as well as all other children who have died at the hands of their abusers. The service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in the playground area at The Children’s Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Vuka LLC has selected The Kempe Foundation as their exclusive charity partner. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Vuka’s line of beverages will go towards programs that treat abused and neglected children through The Kempe Center.
