Kempe Child Trauma Clinic

The Kempe Child Trauma Clinic is part of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) – a unique collaboration of academic and community service centers whose mission is to raise the standard of care and increase access to services for traumatized children and their families throughout the United States. 

Our staff has considerable clinical expertise in child trauma and offers training and consultation on trauma-related topics at local, regional, and national levels. We also do research focused on bringing the best mental health treatment to children and families in Colorado.

About Culturally Modified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) - September 1, 2010

This intervention was developed by Dr. De Arellano for use with Latino children and is based on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with the addition of modules integrating cultural concepts throughout treatment.  Click here to register

Child Trauma Clinic Goal

The overall goal of the Kempe Child Trauma Clinic is to raise the standard of care for children and families who have experienced trauma and bring trauma-informed, culturally-appropriate mental health treatment and related services to children and families who have experienced trauma.

We focus on multiple types of trauma including child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, medical trauma/ accidental injury, traumatic grief and refugee/ immigration trauma.
